Jan 3, Seto Machhendranath temple

In the morning after saying good bye to my friends at 7:45 am , who were flying home today, I went out and had some walk tours. Among the narrow alleys, I, surprisingly, found this temple, missed but according to some guidance book, a must-see for its wonderfully exquisite carvings.

Truly the carvings of the Tara statues on top of tall pillars in the courtyard, and the rest images too, in the whole temple are a museum level. And l, more interestingly, the temple attracts both Buddhist and Hindus, since Buddhists consider Seto Mshhendranath to be a form of Avalokiteshvara, and to Hindus, he is a rain-bringing incarnation of Shiva. The god, white faced, covered in flowers, Seto( white) Machnendranth will be taken out here and paraded around the city in a chariots. And the procession ends at the Machhendranath temple in the south of city.

In the evening got the short message from A. about their 'cursive' journey while I was beginning to read the book 'Into thin air'.
