crazy friends

I have several crazy friends. Like,a couple plan to drive to a small village about 4 hours away this weekend. ' It's the best season for the blossom of rapeseed flower now.' they argued after I pointed out that in that region on Saturday and Sunday a medium to heavy rain was predicted.

A little disappointed at first, they exchanged opinions quickly before they announced their firm decision of going still with strong belief: 'The scenery in rain must be different'.

And came our No. 3 friend, who hesitated, but obviously not over the forecast, too. Instead, she would call herself a 'light bulb' if only she went with the couple. Lovers love darkness?! So on the phone she kinda forced me, if I am not going, she has to give up too. 'Why do we travel only on good days?' Sounds so true.

The newest weather forecast this evening didn't bring us any surprises, as we are now calm and prepared for it. Tomorrow 7:30 am we are setting off. On my reconfirmation message to Ms light bulb, I said the reason I decided to go is but to watch a comedy.

And in short, I am becoming crazy too.

last lecture

Thanks to I., who forwarded me the link to 'last lecture'. It's a lecture done by a 46- year- old Carnegie-Mellon Professor Randy Pausch to his class, after knowing that he is dying with only months to live. Randy is a dreamer. His positive outlook on life is remarkable, given his circumstances. After watching his story, in this Last Lecture, your life may never be the same again. Please watch the entire video. After you do, you'll understand why.

May God bless this dear man and his family.

CNN driver

Y. was the driver for my recent group of Finnish family last week. He was a safe and skillful driver. Knowing Hangzhou as well as his right palm, he liked to drive into small alleys in order to avoid heavy traffic. ( He had been a taxi driver for five years.) For cities like Shanghai and Suzhou, where he travelled not often, he managed to find locations only by reading maps. Besides he was a very kind and easy-going person too. What he impressed most was that he was too 'colorful' or ' yellow', which means 'dirty-minded' in China.

During breaks, he liked to share with me his past experiences of going to 'pink houses' and all stories with those whores. My smallest responses would promote him more. He mapped to me those facilities in Hangzhou, and all types of jobs and services, and relevant prices too. I was imagining if he knew how to write like other body writers, he would be a Weihui, with bestsellers, titled Hangzhou Husk.

He liked to research too. By going onto internet, he compared different sizes of private organs from various countries, for both women and men. He collected too. He showed me his favorite clips on his cell phone.

It's normal, as I thought at first. Talks between men always involve topics like this. What made me a little uncomfortable was that almost every time he completed one topic, he always blamed his friends for insisting on going to services . Calling himself a very traditional person, but his friend a very dirty man, he laughably claimed sex between strangers were too weird.

I don't know why I would like to relate my driver friend to CNN. Due to distorted reports and manipulated photos about riots in Tibet and no any correction intentions, in China, CNN has become a new but a negative buzz word, meaning 'shameful and irresponsible for one's words'. Like in sentence:
做人不能太CNN.
which means, a person should not be CNN.

You don't need to be Chinese literate to read contents on this web: www.anti-cnn.com .

if possible

If possible!
After long thought, I decided to cancel posting a blog entitled 'to tip or not', which is about changing pratise of tipping in China. Although there's no serious reason , still I kinda think it must be helpful to stop some embarassement for those visiting China with a very outdated guidance book.

Greatly moved by blogs by a friend of mine now studying in Paris. She is now becoming faithful vegetarian for the good of her hospitalized father. In her today's post, entitled

IfIf possible, I wish I fly to your side now,If possible, I wish you be safe ,If possilbe, I wish to exchange for your health with my ten years' life,If possible, I will never eat meats to pray to buddha,If possible, if possible.Father, I will love you forever, and give me an chance to repayyour love too.ps: Father already farts after medication by Dr Chen. Thank you doctor and Buddha!Father, you will be fine and we will never give you up.The idea really works( I am writing her email to be sure of it). I am witness myself ,for all those hundreds of wishes and promises I made to Buddhas in Burma, for my parents, (no matter how hard they now persuade me to take some meat for nuitrions. I keep the real reason secret to them).
